The cheapest way to park at Philadelphia Airport

Weekend, week and month prices at the PHL lots we book, side by side

The cheapest way to park at Philadelphia Airport, on our numbers, is a reserved space at one of the off-site lots in Southwest Philadelphia, where you leave the car yourself and ride a free shuttle to the terminals. Today the three PHL lots we book cost $5.50 to $7.20 a day before taxes and fees, and none of them currently gives a lower daily rate for longer stays. Which lot is cheapest can change when the operators adjust their rates, so this guide prices common trip lengths at today’s figures and compares the things that stay put: distance, shuttle times and reviews.

Philadelphia airport parking prices, lot by lot

Every lot below is listed as outdoor self park with a free 24/7 shuttle. The totals are for the full stay at today’s rates:

PHL parking cost by trip length

A day trip or a long weekend

At today’s rates a three-day weekend comes to $21.60 at ARB Parking Philadelphia, $16.50 at Regal Philly Parking and $19.50 at MS Parking Philly; the table above shows which lot is lowest today. Over a short stay, a closer lot or a quicker shuttle may be worth more than the difference in price.

A week or longer

Because none of the lots currently discounts longer stays, any difference in the daily price grows with every day you are away. A week comes to $50.40 at ARB Parking Philadelphia, $38.50 at Regal Philly Parking and $45.50 at MS Parking Philly; two weeks come to $100.80, $77 and $91, in the same order.

A month away

For 30 days the totals at today’s rates are $216 at ARB Parking Philadelphia, $165 at Regal Philly Parking and $195 at MS Parking Philly. On a stay that long even a small difference in the daily rate adds up, so check the table above for today’s figures before you book.

What the cheapest option trades off

All three lots work the same way: you drive in, park in an open-air space and keep your keys. What separates them is distance, how often the van comes and what other drivers say about them.

  • ARB Parking Philadelphia, 4700 Island Ave, is the closest at 0.5 miles from PHL. Vans leave every 5 minutes, and the lot says the ride usually takes about five minutes; tell the driver your airline and terminal so they can plan the route. Google rating: 4.3 from 5,644 reviews.
  • MS Parking Philly, 7001 Holstein Ave, is the farthest out at 1.8 miles, with a van every 5 minutes. It has the best Google rating of the three, 4.5 from 4,605 reviews, and its listing states that there are no extra charges at the lot.
  • Regal Philly Parking, 3200 S 70th St, is listed at 0.8 miles from PHL, which in practice is about a 9-minute drive to the terminals. Its vans run every 5 minutes, day and night, and its Google rating was 3.0 from 362 reviews.

Ways to pay less at PHL

  • Reserve before you leave home. Booking online fixes the daily price for the dates you choose and holds a space for them, so the decision is made before you reach the lot.
  • Book the dates you will really use. A booking holds the rate for those days only, and the dates can still be changed online before check-in.
  • Compare the whole trip, not the daily figure. A small daily gap matters less than a van that turns up in five minutes when you land late.
  • Check the price in search before you pay. Operators set their own rates and promotions and can change them, so the total for your exact dates is the one that counts.
